Nutrition: Tips For Fueling Pre-Practice Or Pre-Game

Sports dietitian Leslie Bonci suggests that ‘Less is More’ when it comes to youth and high school athletes fueling themselves before practices and games. In the hour or two before a practice or competition most athletes need just 20 ounces of water to drink and something small to eat, such as a bowl of cereal, half a sandwich, or some peanut butter crackers.
